Makino Botanical Garden
For the nature lovers out there, you may be drawn to just about any botanic garden. This one is certainly worth a visit, with a large indoor greenhouse full of more tropical plants and plenty of stunning orchids. Outside, the large grounds are set on a hillside, offering a terraced landscape and diverse settings, as well as many beautiful, flowering trees.
Godaisan Park
Despite its small size, this park offers big views. Its beautifully landscaped and offers stunning panoramic views of Kochi city, the inland bay and associated maritime operations, as well as the cascading mountains all around. A purpose built little lookout tower ensures you get the best views and pictures. There are few better places to be in Kochi at sunset than right here.
